The Quiet Towns Series

Every town looks the same from the outside.

Quiet streets.

 Familiar faces.

The same conversations, repeated in the same cafés, at the same time, every day.

Nothing ever happens.

Until it does.

The Quiet Towns is a series of darkly comic novels set in fictional British towns inspired by East Sussex — places where life moves slowly, routines feel permanent, and everyone assumes they understand how things work.

They don’t.

Because beneath the politeness and predictability, something is always slightly off.

A small decision made at the wrong moment.

A quiet grievance left to grow.

A seemingly harmless mistake that refuses to stay small.

And when things begin to unravel, they do so in ways that are unexpected, inconvenient… and often just a little bit absurd.

These are stories about:

  •  ordinary people doing extraordinary (and occasionally terrible) things
  •  problems that escalate far beyond their original size
  •  and the thin, fragile line between normal life and complete chaos

Each book stands alone, but all share the same world, the same tone, and the same underlying truth:

Nothing ever happens… until it does.
